Description
Lenodiar Pediatric is a product indicated for the treatment of acute diarrhoea and flare-ups of chronic diarrhoea. The product reduces the frequency of attacks of diarrhoea while respecting intestinal function.
Diarrhoea, which can have various causes, is a condition characterised by increased secretion and/or reduced absorption of fluids and increased intestinal motility. All of this can be associated with irritation and inflammation of the intestinal mucosa. In addition to discomfort and pain, diarrhoea poses a risk of dehydration, loss of vitamins and minerals, and an imbalance in the intestinal bacterial flora.
HOW IT WORKS
Lenodiar Pediatric contains the Actitan-F® complex, the result of Aboca research. Thanks to its physiological action, the product normalises stool consistency and reduces the frequency of diarrhoea and inflammation of the intestinal mucosa.
This is achieved through the following mechanisms of action:
Astringent – has a nonspecific interaction with proteins of the mucus and intestinal mucosa, thus increasing faecal consistency and forming a mucoadhesive film that helps:
- protect the mucosa from irritants, inflammatory mediators and microorganisms;
- restore the integrity of the mucosa when damaged.
Antioxidant – counteracts the action of free radicals, protecting the mucosa from oxidative damage.
Thanks to the synergy of its actions, Lenodiar Pediatric promotes the recovery of intestinal function and consequently, the balance of the bacterial flora (microbiota).
The benefit was seen within a few hours of its use and in most cases, within 12 hours.
INDICATIONS
Lenodiar Pediatric is a product indicated for the treatment of acute diarrhoea of various origins and for the treatment of flare-ups of chronic diarrhoea (viral infection, flu syndromes characterised by diarrhoea, functional diarrhoea, diarrhoea caused by medicines, traveller’s diarrhoea).
The product is indicated from 6 months to 12 years of age.
